Climbing to our altitude of 7500' with a heading of 128 deg. We will be heading to cross the Bay of Bengal which we will be flying over the major portion of this trip to Yangon Intl.
Oh - Oh, just got a radio message that our landing clearance for tomorrows flight to Ho Chi Minh has been cancelled. That has screwed up our next leg. We are working on a new routing and will then have to get new clearances. The new route we would like is Yangon to Hong Kong to Shanghai to Seoul. We understand that we have a pretty good chance to get the OK. This route is quite a bit shorter. Sure would like to know the reason for the cancellation. All I can think of is the next leg out of Ho Chi Minh was to Taiwan - politics?

Ok word now is that we can expect approval of our request by the time we arrive in Yangon.
Crossing the border with Bangladesh and very shortly the Bay of Bengal.

Kyankpyu Airport with a 4620' runway and NDB 270 is on the coast here just as we cross it.
Our clearances for Hong Kong and Shanghai are ready at the consulate. Just have to drop in with our passports and get them stamped. Our State Department at work!
