Kevin Johnson, 02-03, , DC8, 3.55, bgas005, tjsj-kmia, Flew a beautiful Seaboard-World DC8 to Miami.  Took off late afternoon, flying west towards the setting sun.  Arrived at Miami at dusk, watched the runway lights come on during approach!  Had to do one turn in the holding pattern while the arriving DC6s and Connies cleared the runway (FS AI seem to stack up - the AI appraoch controllers don't seem to understand spacing!)  Great flight.

Kevin Johnson, 02-04, , Vanguard, 0.83, bgas005, egss-ebbr, Late evening cargo run to Brussles.  Left UK rain, arrived Brussles in 500' clg and 3nm vis.  nothing more satisfying than dropping out of the goo and seeing the runway right where it's supposed to be!

Kevin Johnson, 02-05, , Comet, 6.45, bgas005, kjfk-einn, Flew BGA Comet to Shannon.  I'm starting to hone in on the best performance and cruise for the Comet.  77% N1 at FL280 produces 320 kias, 1420 gph, 9+10 hrs endurance and 3990 nm range with 13,000 gal.

Left Idlewild at sunset, arrived Shannon just before dawn.

Kevin Johnson, 02-11, , f27, 1.16, bgas005, knew-kpfn, Flew cargo from Lakefront to Panama City.  Looks like most of my time this month will be burning JP.  the scenery along the gulf coast is very pleasant!

Kevin Johnson, 02-13, , L188 Electra, 1.41, bgas005, klax-ksac, Staying with the turbos, but really bouncing around this month.  I don't get out his way much, but the California coast scenery is nice.  Came in way too fast in the Electra, had some scared passengers as we ran off the end of the runway!  next time, I will respect the length of runway needed.

Kevin Johnson, 02-17, , Caravelle, 1.66, bgas005, ebbr-engm, Back to europe.  Beautiful sunny day.  Heading to Norway before the weather drops.

Kevin Johnson, 02-26, , Viscount, 2.12, bgas005, einn-einn, Quick round trip to Dublin in an Aer Lingus Viscount.  I will probably try this again in March for St. Patrick's day.  Not much consistancy in which aircraft or routes I was flying this month.  Just having lots of fun trying new things between studying and classes!  I need to get back to my around the world flight.  I left a Connie at Fiumicino, Rome.  Maybe in March!

Kevin Johnson, 03-04, car135, cv340, 0.77, bgas005, kmia-mybs, This is becoming a route that I like to fly consistantly because its short and I like the views.  I don't know why I don't fly more Martin 404s and Convairs!

Hank Rochon, 03-12, 401, B-314, 9.15, bgas008, KDIN-TTPM, Love the flying boats. The days of premier service in the air and on the waves. The feeling of accomplishment in taking off and landing this behemoth was dashed in the collision with the dock at Port of Spain. No damage to the bird but the dock in under repair.

Hank Rochon, 03-14, 401, B-314, 7.04, bgas008, TTPM-SBBS, Seamenship improving, didn't convert the dock to a pile of splinters this go around. May have loosened the pilings a bit though.

Hank Rochon, 03-15, 403, B-314, 12.67, bgas008, SBBS-GBBA, Departed during the fading light of evening and arrived in the full light of a Lisbon mourning. Nothing much to see while flying over the over the ocean, so may as well do it at night. But you really pay the price when Old Sol peeks over the horizon. The old eye lids want to slam shut.
