Patrick Stewart, 08-28-05, VNNG-VNSR, 48, bgas060, DHC-2 Beaver, 1 leg of toughman 2.  Nice flight.  Couldn't find the AP had to use GPS.

Patrick Stewart, 08-28-05, CHP-PABT, 123, bgas060, DHC-2 Beaver, 11th leg and home.  Nice easy flight toward the ADF.

Patrick Stewart, 08-28-05, CEZ2-CHP, 85, bgas060, DHC-2 Beaver, 10th leg via PAEA for refuel and Customs check.  Took off for CHP never thinking I'd be able to find it.  Imagine my surprise when I found an AP landed, clicked my FSNAV plane locator back on and pooey. Wrong AP!!!!  Turned on my GPS and flew CEM to CHP.  How embarrassing!

Patrick Stewart, 08-28-05, PARC-CYOC, 70, bgas060, DHC-2 Beaver, 8th leg.  What a site, neat.  CYOC has an ADF was able to get in OK.

George Adair, 08-26-05, 44ak-pawd, 45, BGAN012, piper cub, Decided to try my hand at rotten weather again. What is it about the cub that makes you stupid. Got off o.k. without a hitch, found the airport and promptly did three upside down landings before I got it right. All in all a great challange. Now on to more.

George Adair, 08-26-05, MXA9-MMGT, .4, BGAN012, CARAVAN, Not a bad flight at all. Only bent the airframe once before I took off and the landing was quite easy. Did run out of fuel just on final so it was a dead stick, but I did put it down in one piece.

Paul van den Berg, 08-24-05, EBOS-EHGG-EBOS, 76, bgak036, Boeing 727-100 Cargo, After some (quick)training, this is my first real revenue cargo-flight from Oostende, Belgium to Groningen (Eelde), Holland.  Still trouble with ADF selection (have to read that AOM chapter again...) and some autopilot functions. Avionics are quite a change with the "next generation" jetliners, but all the more fun. Great sunset views on the way back to EBOS.  (screenshots when Bill is back)

Heading for 210 degrees after Kahului hawaii (Phog) didn't bring the carrier out of the waters either. So I flew close over the waters searching for a carrier to land on. Francisca Roele, 08-09-05, EHAM-EHAL, 32, bgam011, Eclipse, Amazing little plane, fantastic to fly short distances with. The plane feels like a racer :D The landing is strange tho, I just shut down the engines half way approaching the airstrip and hoped the flaps/gear was enough to slow it down to 80 kts for touch down. I was right :) Hitting the brakes wasn't enough to come to a halt on time, but the area was clear and smooth so I just made it into a taxi off the airstrip. The landing was so great I had to take a pic of it - unfortunately it doesn't really show it well :(
