Mount Cook Airlines is currently a subsidiary of Air New Zealand operating internal flights within New Zealand as one of three companies forming Air New Zealand Link.

The original airline grew from a group of companies founded and operated by the Wigley family to encourage tourism to the Mount Cook area of South Island. The airline had several false starts before establishing regular scheduled flights in 1960 with DC-3s as shown in these routes.

These routes were taken from a timetable from 1963 which is displayed on www.timetableimages.com .

As the flights run down Lake Pukaki, I have included the overhead bearing for  Pukaki airfield to keep the route – it is not a stop.  An airfiled at Cromwell is listed in the timetable as an alternate for Queenstown, but it is not available in the default fs9 airfields so we have not included it here.
