Sunstate Airlines & Noosa Air
Bevan Whitaker set up Sunstate Airlines
in 1981 to take over routes within Queensland that had been vacated by TAA. He
had set up Noosa Air in 1975 using a B-N Islander for services between Noosa
and Brisbane.
The two airlines operated in parallel and also had investment from TAA. Ultimately, they were
merged as Sunstate Airlines and now operate as a subsidiary of Qantas providing
regional services in Queensland.
At the time of this timetable Sunstate were
operating Embraer EMB-110 Bandeirante and Cessna 404 aircraft, and Noosa Air
operated Islanders, Twin Otters and a Piper Chieftain.
Noosa is missing from default FS9 and
FSX installations, but it is in the Ozx add-on for FSX.
