ABA Sweden April ‘46

ABA (Aktiebolaget Aerotransport)

ABA was formed in 1924 with an initial route from Stockholm to Helsinki. After requiring additional funding it was nationalised in 1935 and eventually merged with the privately owned SILA airline, which provided intercontinental flights, and went on to be merged into SAS in 1950.

In 1946 ABA were operating a mixture of pre-war designs including the Junkers JU-52 and the Fokker F.XII alongside DC-3 and DC-4 aircraft.

The Scandinavian flights below came from the April ’46 ABA timetable from www.timetableimages.com .
