Airlines was originally formed as Broome County Aviation in Binghamton In 1964 the name was changed to Commuter Airlines as they began
a scheduled Part 135 commuter operation between Binghamton and Washington using
a Piper Aztec. In following years they also operated
de Havilland Doves, Beechcraft 18s, Piper Navajos and Chieftains and Fairchild Metroliners from 1972.
