Alaska
Airlines ’47

Alaska Airlines
Alaska Airlines can trace their roots
back to 1933 and the founding of McGee Airways. Various mergers and name changes
led to the first use of the name Alaska Airlines in 1944.
The flights below came from the February
’47 timetable from www.timetableimages.com
. We will be following the feeder schedule routes in this feature.
These routes were mostly Flag Stop,
i.e. if you want to get out – put your hand up or the pilot keeps going! Some landing
strips are missing from flightsim, so we’ll assume
that no-one wanted that flag stop.

Flight Simulator Files
There is a repaint for the default DC-3 for FS2004 which can
be found at www.flightsim.com. In addition,
there is a repaint for Milton Shupe’s FS2004 Lockheed L-18 also at flightsim.
Alaska airlines also used Noorduyn Norseman aircraft during this period.
