Norm Holman, 3-21-06, YPCC-FMEE, 780, bgad026, DC-4. Leg 3. A long lonely stretch over the Indian Ocean from Cocos to St Denis Island. Have a lot of respect for the crews of yesteryear navigating over a featureless Ocean.

Allan Lowson, 03-26-06, KRDG-KFYV, 615, bgam007, Waco CTO Mailwing, Stick the engine, gear and a couple of wings out in the breeze, and you don't get a particularly economic package. It's a great plane to fly all the same.

Allan Lowson, 03-18-06, KRDG-KFYV, 364, bgam007, Spitfire Prototype, Wrap an aerodynamic shape round a pilot, an unstressed engine and a couple of fuel tanks and you get a surprisingly economic package.

Allan Lowson, 03-10-06, GAAR 2006, 1415, bgam007, D.H.104 Dove , A fun challenge, particulalry after I got my sums wrong on the target time for leg 11, and then spent the balance playing catch-up.

Ron Jorgensen, 03/05/06, PAFA  PAFB, 90, BGAK030, DHC-2, PAFA PATW 5BK PAFB

John Lawler, 03-06-06, KRDG-SN1, 20, bgad017, Percival Prentice, For a basic trainer, the Prentice is certainly an oddity (3 seats; almost twice as heavy as it's predecessors but with basically the same engine; and with wingtips which look like you've already had a landing accident!). Still, the view's good and the Gipsy Queen's sound excuses almost even anything - even the wingtip handles. Cruising at 0lbs boost with full tanks give 100 kts so this isn't going to be a fast trip.
