tail wind most of the way at 15,000 ft got white knuckle at the end when gear
failed to come down, circled and tried to manually pump but no luck ,by then
fuel was down to just 20 gal.in the left and right mains,and crash grews in position,put gear handle up position . and lined up for
grass next to RW15 it was raining and had been all night, as we crossed the
fence at 100 knots had enginer shutdown the engines
and fuel pumps and she slid on the grass,bent some
sheet metal but everybody was safe,and no fire,an nothing broke off.
